Over the coming years, Solenova will invest in exciting renewable energy opportunities across Angola. The first of these is a solar power facility in Caraculo, southern Angola. This region currently relies mainly on diesel-run power plants for electricity production.
Solenova is a company that combines local knowledge with international insight and experience. Its leadership team is headed up by Chairman, Germano Sacavumbi and Managing Director, Jaime Luzolo.
The Caraculo solar project has a primarily Angolan workforce of 11 direct employees involved on the operations of the Caraculo PV plant.
Germano Miguel Sacavumbi has a postgradute degree in Business and Finance and a degree in Economic Sciences. He has been part of the oil industry for over 25 years, having worked in finance, planning, concessionaire, refining and renewable energies in Sonangol, in roles such as Member of the Sonaref Executive Committee and currently serves as Chairman of Solenova.
Jaime Luzolo has degrees in Oil and Gas Engineering and Electromechanical Engineering. He has more than 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry and joined Eni in 2011. Since then, he has covered roles ranging from subsea engineering, operations, asset integrity, non-operated assets and business performance support, which include international work experiences in USA, Italy, Singapore, the UK and Mozambique. He is currently Director of Energy Transition and Decarbonization at Azule Energy and Managing Director of Solenova.
